City Clerk/Treasury

The City of Maysville is currently accepting applications for the position of City Clerk/Finance Officer. Responsibilities include performing all accounting and finance functions including payroll, payroll tax, A/P, A/R, preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and annual audit schedules. Prepare and maintain all meeting minutes, city ordinances, city data base and voter registration lists.  Prepare agendas for Mayor and Council meetings, public hearings, and work session. Perform all human resources functions including insurance filings, insurance management, employee retirement plan, updates to employee handbook and unemployment claims. Handle filings for all annexations, rezonings, and variance requests. Search for, write and manage grants. Prepare requests for Planning Board meetings. Update Zoning Map as needed, assist customers with zoning questions. Have experience in Water and Sewer Utilities billing and serve as Certified Municipal Court Clerk. Ability to obtain city clerk certification.

Minimum requirements are an Associates Degree in accounting with a minimum of five years administrative/government and accounting experience. Must be proficient in Windows, Word,
Excel. QuickBooks experience preferred. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
