The Maysville Police Department serves and protects the citizens by maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and protecting life and property. Services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Dispatch is coordinated through the Jackson County 911 System, and back-up is provided by either the Banks or Jackson County Sheriff’s Departments. Services are provided by 6 full-time and 1 part-time employees.

Dispose of Unwanted Prescription Medications
The Maysville Police Department has recently been Provided a NarcX prescription drug receptacle box and medication lockboxes. Funding was secured and provided to the Department through The Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. The receptacles will offer Maysville residents a safe way to dispose of their expired or unwanted prescription medications, while the lockboxes will enable secure storage of medications at home using a three-digit code.
Medications can be brought by the Maysville Police Department between the hours of 8:00 Am and 4:00 Pm Monday through Friday and dispose of their expired or unwanted medications in a safe manner through the receptacle at no charge.
In addition, medication lockboxes are available at the Police Department to residents at no charge to enable secure storage of their medications inside their home. Contact the police department for more information regarding medication lockboxes.
