If you are not aware, Citizens in need can access monetary funds to use for rent and utilities. We were just notified of the following below in the last month.
The GA Department of Community Affairs-GA Rental Assistance Program has 552 Million to disperse under ERA-1 (Emergency Rental Assistance) by September 2022. These fund can be utilized for rent and utilities. The DCA gave a presentation at our Council meeting on May 2nd. Please do not let the monetary funds be returned to the U.S. Treasury when our citizens need help. Please note: Citizens are utilizing libraries to scan/upload documents required (i.e. full rental agreements, etc.).

Outreach Kit
Our outreach kit serves as a way to educate Georgia communities on how the GRA program can help those in need. Each item in the outreach kit is detailed below, and we encourage you to share this information with your community.
- Website: The Georgia Rental Assistance program website can answer basic questions regarding eligibility, documents required, areas serviced, etc. the most accurate, up-to-date information regarding the GRA program will be on this website.
- Blog: Our blogscan help you and your renters understand program requirements, answer specific questions from tenants and landlords themselves, etc.
- Calendar: Use this calendar to find an event happening in your community.
- Marketing Collateral (for digital and print materials below): All marketing documents for your use are located within this folder.
- Flyer: This document provides a snapshot of the program, including basic details, how to apply, and how to contact our offices for help and information. We suggest this be distributed as broadly as possible, as it is an effective means of attracting initial interest.
- Graphics: There are several graphic sizes for you to choose from for your website or social media. It would be most helpful to link the graphics to georgiarentalassistance.ga.gov.
