Dear Editor and residents of the City of Maysville,
The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission is assisting the City of Maysville with the update of their State-required Comprehensive Plan. This document will help guide future policies and actions in accordance with a locally-derived vision for the community, and will ensure the City of Maysville will have full access to all forms of State assistance and resources.
As part of this process the GMRC and the City are engaging local residents and stakeholders to learn their thoughts about the future of the community. If anyone would like to offer input about the issues facing the City of Maysville, or just ask questions about the process, there will be a public meeting held on February 12, 2018, 6:00 p.m. upstairs at:
Maysville City Hall
4 Homer St
Maysville, GA 30558
This meeting will be a drop-in forum with an informal presentation of the Comprehensive Plan Update Process, meaning visitors may come and go as they wish after sharing their thoughts. The Comprehensive Plan Stakeholder Committee will also be in attendance as well. Anyone wishing to provide input but unable to attend the meeting at the scheduled time may submit their comments to Caleb Davidson care of cdavidson@gmrc.ga.gov. Please be sure to include “Maysville Comp Plan” in the subject line.
Thank you for your interest in your hometown!
Caleb Davidson
Regional Planner, GMRC
