Effective April 1, 2016, the Maysville Public Library hours will change to:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday-9:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday- Closed Friday-9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Saturday-9A.M. – 3P.M. Sunday-Closed


The Workshop meeting originally planned for Thursday, February 25, 2016, 6:00 p.m. has been changed to Thursday, March 3, 2016, 6:00 p.m.

Limb Pickup

CITY OF MAYSVILLE (Limb Pickup)   Wednesday, March 9, 2016 (Banks County Residents) Thursday, March 10, 2016 (Jackson County Residents) Limbs must be on curbside by 8:00 a.m.  No limbs over six feet long or 3 inches diameter will be picked up. There will be a 15 minute limit at each residence.  


The City of Maysville seeks customer-service oriented applicants for a part-time Library Assistant position at the Maysville Public Library. This person works 12 hours per week. Assistants work some evenings and weekends.   Library Assistants are responsible for providing checkout, information and support for library patrons of all ages. Workshop Meeting

The Mayor and Council will have a Workshop Meeting on Monday, January 25, 2016, 7:30 a.m. at 4 Homer Street to review the applications received for the Library Manager position.  

Water Rate Increase

Water bills issued on February 1, 2016 will have an increase of 10%. The rate increase for an average household with both water and sewer service would be a monthly increase of $3.63.


Council Meeting will be held Monday, January 4, 2016, 7:00 4 Homer Street. Mayor Richard Presley, Councilmember’s Junior Hardy and Scott Harper will be sworn in for another four year term.
